Let's start with the blank sample (BLK), but all the standard methods we see have this sentence: make blank with the sample, and some have to make 2. Why do you want to make blank, and what is the significance of making blank? Blank samples can check whether the entire sample processing process is contaminated, whether the reagent has ingredients that need to be tested, how much content, the detection limit of the instrument and the deduction of matrix interference during the detection process.

In the standard material, we will generally choose two that are the same or similar to the sample matrix to be tested, with one high or one low element content or component content. Usually, one is placed behind the blank sample, and the other is randomly placed. When purchasing quality control samples and standard solutions, we will go to the National Standards Network for processing the same as the sample. In the pre-processing process, the standard material is mainly used to monitor whether the processing process is abnormal and whether the processing is sufficient and thorough. In the process of instrument testing, it is mainly to check whether the test state of the instrument is normal and whether the working curve is very deviated.
Finally, let's talk about the duplicate sample (DUP). A duplicate sample is another sample of the sample that needs to be tested. It is taken from the same sample, and the pretreatment is the same as the sample. The function of a duplicate sample is mainly to check the uniformity and representativeness of the sample. If your test results show that the difference is very large, you have to look for the reason. Is it a mistake in the sample or the poor uniformity of the sample?
