EP and USP standard reference valid period
USP andEP standardYou need to pay attention to the websites of USP and BP for a while. When their latest batch of control substances comes out, the old batch of control will give the expiration time.
Since the valid period of reference substances and standard substances is under investigation, USP and EP are both published immediately, so if you want to know the information of reference substances from these two sources, you can only check on the website regularly. If you do foreign business, you are required to check every month. Generally, USP will give relevant information 3-6 months in advance, but there are also a few varieties, especially impurity reference substances, which will be suddenly announced to expire.
Tip: As long as it is listed as "Current Lot" in the current (latest) USP statutory catalog, it can be used for statutory applications. Once removed from the current batch, the batch is listed in the "Previous Lot" catalog with a "valid period". The last day of the month shown is the expiration date of the batch.
The electronic version of the catalogue of the statutory USP is published every two months and the print version every four months. The catalogue of the daily USP is updated daily. The user shall be responsible for determining the specificUSPIs in a legal state, that is, either the "current batch" or the "previous batch" with a valid period.
