Spring, summer, autumn and winter eye embroidery
1) Spring
Entering the spring, all things recover, and the eyes become more active, but the climate in early spring is changeable, and the temperature difference between morning and evening is large. Whether it is bathing, sunbathing or walking birds, we must take into account the bird's ability to adapt to the temperature, and take a step-by-step approach to let the bird gradually adapt to the climate in early spring. In the evening, we should pay attention to covering the bird with a cage cloth to prevent catching a cold.
Spring is also the preparation stage for embroidery eyes to enter the breeding period. With the extension of sunshine time and the abundance of insect food, birds generally enter the estrus period and become very active. Male birds raised alone should reduce the supply of protein and fat feed and feed more green feed at this time, in case the birds should be "sexual" and make cages, which will seriously knock off their wing feathers and tail feathers. In addition, cover the cage during the day to reduce the impact of sunlight on estrus.
Spring is also a season of frequent eye diseases. During this period, in addition to strengthening daily management, paying attention to diet and environmental hygiene, it is also necessary to regularly observe the activities of birds and the shape of feces. If any abnormalities are found, it is necessary to identify the cause and take measures.
2) Summer
Summer is a critical period for embroidery eyes to breed and moult, and it is the busiest season in the life of birds. Therefore, extra careful care should be taken for embroidery eyes, especially in diet and drinking water. To make water, food (try to use dry powder) change every day, vegetables, melons and fruits change in time to avoid deterioration and induce gastrointestinal diseases. Note: Feed less watermelon, especially when you find that the bird's feces are different. My personal opinion is to feed cucumbers, breadworms, apples and a small amount of bread worms (2-4 a day), skin worms, locusts, etc. The temperature is high in summer, I don't think any fool will sunbathe the birds in the afternoon, right? Try to hang the bird in a cool and ventilated place, and the drinking water cannot be cut off. Friends who go to work during the day can hang two water tanks on the cage to ensure sufficient drinking water. Pay attention to mosquito prevention and insect prevention at night. It is best to replace the cage cloth with a screen window, so that it is both ventilated and insect release. In the north, in late summer and early autumn, the embroidered eye should moult. In the south (such as Jiangsu and Zhejiang), it is generally not until mid-to-late September that the embroidered eye begins to moult. The nutrient level during the moulting period should be carried out in strict accordance with the principle of low in the early stage and high in the later stage, and the proportion of protein and minerals (which can be replaced by cuttlefish bones) should be appropriately increased. Speed up the renewal of feathers, Regarding changing the proportion of protein in the feed, I think it should be, for example, the original soybean flour: egg yolk = 3:1, and now it should be changed to 2:1 or 1.5:1. Don't change it too much, it will affect the bird's appetite.
3) Autumn
Autumn is the fastest season of the year for embroidery eyes. In the south, the average temperature is about 20 degrees, the sun is warm, the air humidity is low, and the climatic conditions are extremely favorable for the growth of birds. As the saying goes: raise bones in spring, and raise fat in autumn. Raising enough fat is of great significance to the safe overwintering of birds. In autumn, the proportion of fatty feed should be appropriately increased in the bird's feed. For birds that have not yet completed moulting, in addition to adding vitamins and trace elements, it is more important to supplement animal protein feed. After the new feathers grow, add high-fat feed. Daily care work such as water bathing, sunbathing and walking birds should be carried out in a timely manner according to temperature changes.
4) Winter
In winter, as the temperature decreases, the center of management should revolve around the safe overwintering of birds, and the supply of protein and fat feed should be strengthened at ordinary times. When the weather is fine, the birds should be allowed to bask in the sun. When the temperature is high, it is best to let the sun shine diagonally, and do not face the birds in the sun. Water baths are generally 2-4 times a week (depending on the weather and temperature). The water temperature is about 20 degrees. It is best to cover the cage and put it in the sun to dry as soon as possible after the water bath.
