Also, in Stephen Chow's movie "Dead Grass," Zhou's character refers to an innocent criminal who murders his friend "Xiaoqiang," but this "Xiaoqiang" turns out to be not a human, but just a cockroach. Zhou Xingchi calls it "Xiaoqiang," which may be a name because the cockroach's vitality is very tenacious.
In the 2000 Hong Kong TV series "Love between Men and Women", the actor Yu Letian (Huang Zihua) named his pet cockroach "Xiaoqiang" and composed the song "I Have Xiaoqiang".
