Test method:
1. Methyl red (MR) test
An appropriate amount of agar culture was inoculated in buffered glucose peptone water (MR-VP) at 36 ℃ ± 1 ℃ for 2 days to 5 days. Add a drop of methyl red reagent (this reagent needs to be purchased separately) and observe the results immediately. Bright red is positive, yellow is negative.
2. V-P test
Take an appropriate amount of agar culture and inoculate it with buffered glucose peptone water (MR-VP), incubate it at 36 ° C ± 1 ° C for 2 days to 4 days, add a V-P kit (this reagent needs to be purchased separately) and shake the test tube to observe the results. The positive reaction appears red immediately or within a few minutes. If it is negative, it should be incubated at 36 ° C ± 1 ° C for 4 hours before observation.
