Azido-PEG4-nitrile is a PEG derivative which contains an azido group and a nitrile group. The azido group is commonly used in copper-catalyzed Click Chemistry reactions with alkynes, DBCO and BCN to produce triazole linkages. The nitrile group can undergo hydrolysis, reduction and other reactions. The hydrophilic PEG spacer increases the solubility in aqueous media.
