Pentafluorophenyl (PFP) functionalized PEG Biotin is an amine reactive PEG biotin derivative that can bind to avidin or streptavidin with high affinity. PFP reacts with amine groups at pH 7-9 to form stable amide bond. Compared to other amine reactive functional groups, PFP has higher reactivity yet with better stability in aqueous solution. PFP reacts with not only primary amine groups it also reacts with secondary amines.
