Fmoc-N-amido-PEG-Succinimidyl Valerate, MW 3.4K is a PEG derivative containing an Fmoc protecting group and a terminal succinimidyl group. The Fmoc group can be deprotected under basic condition to obtain the free amine which can be used for further conjugations. Succinimidyl is a good leaving group and reacts with amine nucleophiles. The hydrophilic PEG linker increases the water solubility properties of the compound.
