It is produced in endothelial cells, monocytes, fibroblasts and T-lymphocytes. GM-CSF inhibits neutrophil migration and enhances the functional activity of the mature end-cells. The human and murine molecules are species-specific and exhibit no cross-species reactivity. Recombinant Human GM-CSF is a 14.6 kDa globular protein consisting of 128 amino acids, containing two intramolecular disulfide bonds and two potential N-linked glycosylation sites. Initially reconstitute in water to 0.1-1.0 mg/ml. Store at 2°C to 8°C for up to 1 week or prepare for extended storage. After initial reconstitution, further dilute in a buffer containing a carrier protein or stabilizer (e.g. 0.1% BSA). Store working aliquots at -20˚C to -80˚C. Accession Number: P04141
