N-(Propargyl-PEG2)-N-Boc-PEG3-t-butyl ester is a branched PEG derivative with a terminal propargyl group, Boc protected amino group, and a t-butyl ester. The propargyl group can be reacted with azide-bearing compounds or biomolecules via copper catalyzed azide-alkyne Click Chemistry to yield a stable triazole linkage. The protected amine can be deprotected by acidic conditions and the t-butyl protected carboxyl group can also be deprotected under mild acidic conditions.
