Forphenicinol 是一种免疫调节剂，是细菌代谢物 Forphenicine 的衍生物。它可增加从受硫代乙醇酸刺激的小鼠中分离出的腹膜巨噬细胞对酵母的吞噬作用。Forphenicinol（100 μg/只动物）可防止环磷酰胺引起的迟发型超敏反应 (DTH) 抑制，并增强小鼠对半抗原恶唑酮或绵羊红细胞的 DTH 反应。当以 0.5 mg/kg 的剂量给药时，它可以增强小鼠巨噬细胞对铜绿假单胞菌的杀菌活性。Forphenicinol（15.6-1,000 μg/只动物）可以提高小鼠铜绿假单胞菌感染模型的存活率。当以每天 0.05 至 5 mg/kg 的剂量给药时，它还可以抑制 S180 肉瘤和 IMC 癌小鼠异种移植模型中的肿瘤生长。
