PEG17 is a polymer consisiting of repeating ethylene glycol subunits and terminal hydroxyl groups. The ethylene glycol units increase the water solubility of hydrophobic compounds, allowing for them to be more compatible in aqueous settings. The terminal hydroxyl groups can be reacted to further derivatize the compound.
