Reacts with cell surface bound C5b-9 complex General Description Product is made from polyclonal antiserum from rabbits immunized with highly purified human complement protein. Antisera is stringently adsorbed with normal complement proteins to be monospecific for SC5b-9 neoantigen. Product sold is the purified IgG fraction. Rabbits are maintained in FDA certified facilities. Physical Characteristics & Structure Antibodies present in the antisera are primarily IgG. Applications Recognizes human SC5b-9 complex in complement-activated plasma. Reacts with cell surface-bound C5b-9 complex after complement activation. Western Blots: Not applicable. Antibody recognizes SC5b-9 neoantigen which isdestroyed upon denaturation in SDS. ELISA: Effective at dilutions 1/500 to 1/2000 depending on conditions. Immunodiffusion: Effective against purified SC5b-9 as well as SC5b-9 in complement-activated NHS or plasma at ¼ dilution.
