Cbz-N-amido-PEG15-amine contains a Cbz-protected amino group and a terminal amine group. The Cbz protecting group can be removed under acidic conditions. The terminal amine can be reacted with carboxylic acid, activated NHS ester and other carbonyl groups. The hydrophilic PEG linkers increase the water solubility of the compound.
