Thr101 是磷酸甘露糖异构酶 (PMI) 的抑制剂 (IC50=2.9 μM)。PMI 可与磷酸甘露糖变位酶 2 (PMM2) 竞争 Man-6-P 的结合位点，将 6- 磷酸甘露糖 (Man-6-P) 转化为 6-磷酸果糖 (Fru-6-P)。Thr101 只特异性抑制 PMI，不抑制 PMM2。Thr101 可用于糖基化 Ia 型先天性疾病 (CDG-Ia) 的研究。
