十五烷内酯可用于通过Novozyme 435催化的开环聚合合成聚（十五烷醇）（PPDL）。它可以用作合成末端支链异脂肪酸（iso-C15-C17）的起始试剂。 Pentadecanolide may be used for the synthesis of poly(pentadecanolide) (PPDL) by Novozyme 435 catalyzed ring-opening polymerization. It may be employed as starting reagent for the synthesis of terminally-branched iso-fatty acids (iso-C15-C17).
