OBAA specifically displayed ability to inhibit PLA2 from snake venom, but not from porcine pancreas. OBAA was observed in experiments to inhibit Na+ concentration increase induced by thapsigargin and blocks Ca|2+|entry into pathogenic|Tyrpanosoma brucei|.
