Generally, PC has unsaturated fatty acid, in both from human and vegetable origin. Fatty acid composition of soy PC has 70 % of linolenic acid. Hence, Soy PC has low phase transition temperature in water containing systems. Soy PC has been used in the preparation of liposomes. Soy PC is suitable for use in the preparation of flexible liposomes (FLUV) and in treating Pheochromocytoma (PC12) cells to analyze its effects on exocytosis kinetics.
