Product Introduction Phosphatidic acid (PA) has two fatty acids and one phosphate group attached to a glycerol backbone. The two fatty acids are present at position sn-1 and sn-2 of the C-atoms and the phosphate group is present in the sn-3 position of the C-atom Application 18:0 PA may be used: • as a component in the bilayer to study its vesiculation ability on different coat protein I (COPI) fission factor • to study its effects on intracellular Ca2+ concentration ([Ca2+]i) in C6 rat glioma and L2071 mouse fibroblast cells • to study its effects on phosphorylation of cytochrome b(558) alpha chain (p22phox)
