溶于水(溶解度6-7克，25℃），易溶于丙酮等有机溶剂。水中溶解度:380 g/l (50°C )、50 g/l (20°C ) 本品主要用于合成除草剂草甘膦。另外，作为一种重要的精细化工中间体，在染料、电镀、水处理、合成树脂等领域也有广泛的用途。 Iminodiacetonitrile was used in the synthesis of iminodiacetic acid. It was also used to study the interference of nitriles in cyanide determination.
