Neopentyl glycol diglycidyl ether (NGDE) is a low toxic epoxy molecule with two epoxy pendant groups at the end of the long chain. It is majorly used as a reactive diluent for epoxy resin. It facilitates the resin with high strength and impact resistance. NGDE can be used in the synthesis of epoxy polymers for the development of shape memory polymers.It can also be used in the photopolymerization of cationic polymers.
