腐植酸是植物残体，经煤化过程和生物化学作用而形成的天然矿化有机羧酸聚合物，没有定形的分子式和分子量，按其理化特征和分子量大小，可分为黄腐酸、棕腐酸、黑腐酸三种类型；黄腐酸分子量小（可溶于PH＜2）的酸性溶液，活性官能团（总酸基9-10meg/克）、生物活性高、适宜做药用原料，棕腐酸次之、黑腐酸较差。所以，一般口服或注射腐植酸，都采用高纯度的黄腐酸；分子量较大的棕黑腐酸（或总HA），一般用于胃溃疡、烧烫伤、风湿关节炎火外伤止血等。 植物生长刺激素。 腐植酸大分子上连有羧基、羟基、羰基、醌基、甲氧基等官能团。与金属离子交换、吸附、络合、螯合等作用。在分散体系中作为聚电解质有凝聚、胶溶、分散等作用。
