LRP is a multifunctional endocytic receptor, which functions in the turnover of proteases and the degradation of extracellular matrix proteins. It is known that Perindoprilat inhibits the conversion of angiotensin I into angiotensin II, which lowers arteriolar pressure and increases venous capacity.
