具有良好的水溶性。用于水-有机两相催化体系,使均相配位(络合)催化反应在水相或两相界面进行,反应完成后催化剂和产物自动分为水-有机两相,有利于催化剂的循环使用和贵金属的分离回收。应用三苯基膦-3,3′,3′′-三磺酸三钠盐（TPPTS）可作为封端剂用于以K2PdCl4为钯源、以HCOONa 为还原剂合成TPPTS 稳定的钯纳米颗粒（PdNP）。TPPTS稳定的PdNP可作为高效的催化剂用于室温下进行的水相Suzuki-Miyaura偶联反应。TPPTS 也可作为配体用于金属催化的功能化烯烃的加氢甲酰化反应和直接芳基化聚合反应。
