氟化钠的酸式盐。有强烈酸味。在潮湿空气中吸收水分，并放出氟化氢。遇热分解，在160-180℃左右时几乎完全分解成氟化钠和氟化氢。溶于水(100ml水中溶解度：20℃时3.25g，90℃时7.50g)，不溶于乙醇。高温时，铝或铝合金对氟化氢钠有抗蚀作用。水溶液能腐蚀玻璃。有毒。有腐蚀性。用作食物保护剂、动物标本及解剖标本保存剂和防腐剂。也用于蚀刻玻璃、锡版制造、纺织品的处理、铁锈的去除、皮革的防虫和马口铁的生产等。氟氢化钠与氟氢化钾混合物可作金属的焊接剂。还可用于生产无水氟化氢。
