与整合素相关的整合膜蛋白，可调节精卵融合、血小板活化和聚集以及细胞粘附等不同过程。存在于卵母细胞的细胞表面，在精卵融合过程中发挥关键作用，可能是通过组织多蛋白复合物和融合所需的膜形态。在肌母细胞中，与 CD81 和 PTGFRN 结合，在肌肉再生过程中抑制肌管融合。在巨噬细胞中，与 CD81 和 beta-1 及 beta-2 整合素结合，阻止巨噬细胞融合成专门摄取补体冲洗大颗粒的多核巨细胞。还能防止单核细胞祖细胞融合成负责骨吸收的破骨细胞。充当 PSG17 的受体。参与血小板活化和聚集。调节副结节的形成。参与细胞粘附、细胞运动和肿瘤转移。
