生化机理

蛋白质功能转录激活因子。与 IFN 启动子中的干扰素刺激反应元件 (ISRE) 和 EBV 核抗原 1 (EBNA1) 的 Q 启动子 (Qp) 结合。作为抗病毒活性的分子开关。感染时通过磷酸化激活。激活后会导致核保留、DNA 结合和转录激活能力减弱。翻译后在病毒感染时，C 端丝氨酸簇被磷酸化。磷酸化和随后的激活会受到疫苗病毒蛋白 E3 的抑制。IRF7 的激活需要 TRAF6 介导的泛素化。
