转录因子；既可作为激活因子，也可作为抑制因子。结合 5'-CACCC-3' 核心序列。与自身基因的启动子区域结合，可激活自身基因的转录。在胚胎发育过程中调控关键转录因子的表达。在维持胚胎干细胞和防止其分化方面发挥重要作用。皮肤屏障功能的建立以及出生后眼表的成熟和维持都需要它。参与上皮细胞的分化，还可能参与骨骼和肾脏的发育。有助于下调 p53/TP53 转录。
