与肌动蛋白结合，影响细胞骨架的结构。在高浓度下，肌动蛋白会阻止肌动蛋白的聚合，而在低浓度下则会增强肌动蛋白的聚合。通过与 PIP2 结合，它可抑制 IP3 和 DG 的形成。抑制雄激素受体（AR）和 HTT 的聚合，G-肌动蛋白的结合是其抑制 AR 的关键。
