Collismycin A (SF 2738A) 是一种最初从链霉菌中分离出来的细菌代谢物，具有多种生物活性，包括抗菌、抗增殖和神经保护特性。Collismycin A (SF 2738A) 对多种细菌（MICs=6.25 和 100 μg/mL）和真菌（MICs=12.5-100 μg/mL）具有活性。它可抑制 A549 肺癌、HCT116 结肠癌和 HeLa 宫颈癌细胞（IC50分别为 0.3、0.6 和 0.3 μM）和 NIH373 成纤维细胞（IC50=56.6 μM）的增殖，但不抑制 MDA-MD-231 乳腺癌细胞（IC50=>100 μM）的增殖。Collismycin A (SF 2738A) 与 Fe(II) 和 Fe(III) 以 2:1 的比例形成复合物，添加铁离子会抑制 Collismycin A (SF 2738A) 对 HeLa 细胞的抗增殖作用，而添加锌、锰、铜或镁离子则不会产生这种作用。在全反式维甲酸诱导的神经细胞死亡模型中，Collismycin A (SF 2738A) (1 μM) 可防止斑马鱼幼虫脑区细胞凋亡。
