(1S)-(+)-3-蒈烯是一种单萜烯。应用 (1S)-(+)-3-蒈烯已作为标准品被用于通过快速气相色谱-质谱（FGC-EI/MS）定量测定薰衣草精油中的成分。它可作为(+)-烯醇全合成的起始材料。它还可用于合成(1S,3S,4S,6R)-3,7,7-三甲基-4-吗啉代-4-基-双环(4.1.0)庚烷-3-醇，它可以高对映选择性催化向不同的醛上添加二乙基锌。用于制备二环[3.2.0]庚烯的手性结构单元，二环[3.2.0]庚烯是合成 (+)-三甲基二氧三环壬烷和三并五元环倍半萜两个对映体的中间体。可转化为对应的联烯基烯丙基醚，用于研究其热异构化作用。二(4-异蒈烷基)硼烷的前体，是烯烃不对称硼氢化反应的试剂。 (1S)-(+)-3-Carene is a monoterpene.
