易溶于热乙醇、氯仿、乙醚、二硫化碳和冰乙酸，微溶于冷乙醇，不溶于水。有毒，半数致死量(小鼠，经口)390mg/kg。有刺激性。本品是重要的染料、医药中间体，主要用于合成间氯苯胺、间二氯苯等。 1-Chloro-3-nitrobenzene was used in the preparation of aromatic azo compounds using gold (Au) nanoparticles supported on TiO2 as a catalyst.It was also used as surrogate standard to evaluate the removal of 2,4-dinitrotoluene from contaminated soils using enhanced electrokinetic remediation.
