It is known to monitor calcium and phosphate metabolism in humans. It also regulates insulin secretion and induces cellular differentiation. 1α,25-Dihydroxyvitamin D3 (6,19,19-d3) is a deuterated vitamin D3wherein C-6 and C-19 protons are replaced by deuterium.1α,25-Dihydroxyvitamin D3(6,19,19-d3) can be used as an internal analytical standard for the quantification of vitamin D3concentration in dietary supplements, fortified foods or within a complex biological matrix
