3,4-乙二氧基噻吩(EDOT)是一种具有硫醇基的电活性导电单体，以供体-受体-供体的方式结合电子供体和电子受体。单体可以用来合成导电聚合物。应用： EDOT可以聚合形成聚(3,4-乙撑二氧噻吩)（PEDOT），用作基于电致变色聚合物(EC)的涂料，适于各种应用，如用于糖尿病监测的固态有机电化学超级电容器(OESC)，电致变色器件(ECD)[1]和碳纳米管(CNT)类电化学设备。可用于：用作从HAuCl4 (254169)一锅法合成金纳米颗粒的还原剂；用作钯催化单芳基化和双芳基化反应的起始原料；合成有望用于光学应用的复合聚合物和共聚物。
