Finerenone is a third-generation, selective, and orally available nonsteroidal mineralocorticoid receptor (MR) antagonist (IC 50 =18 nM). Finerenone displays excellent selectivity versus glucocorticoid receptor (GR), androgen receptor (AR), and progesterone receptor (>500-fold).
