氧化性色原试剂。新型Trinder's试剂是高水溶性苯胺衍生物，被广泛用于诊断检测和生化试验。在比色法测定过氧化氢活性中比常规生色的试剂具有若干优势。新型Trinder's试剂足够稳定，既可以用于溶液也可以用于试验流水线检测系统中。在过氧化氢和过氧化物酶的存在下，新型Trinder's试剂在与4-氨基安替比林 (4-AA) 或3-甲基苯并噻唑砜腙(MBTH) 的氧化偶合反应过程中，形成非常稳定的紫色或蓝色染料。与MBTH偶合染料的摩尔吸光度比与4-AA偶合染料的高1.5-2倍；然而，4-AA溶液比MBTH溶液更稳定。底物被其氧化酶酶促氧化产生过氧化氢。该过氧化氢的浓度对应于底物浓度。因此，可通过氧化偶合反应的显色测定底物的量。葡萄糖、酒精、酰基-辅酶A和胆固醇可以用于检测与新型Trinder's试剂及4-AA偶合的那些底物。现有10种新型Trinder's试剂。在新型Trinder's试剂中，TOOS是最常用的。然而，对于特定的底物，试验不同种类的新型Trinder's试剂对开发最佳的检测系统是必需的。
