来源于携带有酿酒酵母无机焦磷酸酶基因的重组大肠杆菌菌株，可以催化一分子焦磷酸盐转化为两分子磷酸盐离子。这种驱动生成焦磷酸盐的代谢反应是一个高放能的反应，因此该反应可偶联到一些热力学上不利的转化，以便驱动这些转化进行到完全。无机焦磷酸酶（PPase）催化无机焦磷酸盐水解生成正磷酸盐。在分子生物学中可用于反转录反应中提高 RNA 产量、DNA 扩增中提高 DNA 合成效率。用途催化：PPi + H2O → 2Pi 作为 PCR、RPA 混合物的组分。推荐使用条件储存缓冲液：20 mmol/L Tris-HCl (pH 8.0), 100 mmol/L NaCl, 0.1 mmol/L EDTA, 1 mmol/L DTT, 50%(v/v)甘油。
