5反式前列腺素E2 是天然存在的化合物，是商业批次PGE1中的常见杂质，在腺苷酸环化酶在NCB-20细胞匀浆中激活的情况下，其效力比PGE2（5-顺式PGE2）高18倍。还显示通过增强由组织型纤溶酶原激活物介导的纤溶酶原激活来加速纤维蛋白溶解，并抑制富含血小板的血浆（PRP）中的血小板聚集。 5-trans PGE2 is a naturally occuring compound and is a common impurity in commercial lots of PGE1, that shows a potency that is 18 times greater than PGE2 (5-cis PGE2) in cases of activation of adenylate cyclase in NCB-20 cell homogenates. Also has been shown to accelerate fibrinolysis by enhancing plasminogen activation mediated by tissue-type plasminogen activator, and to inhibit platelet aggregation in platelet rich plasma (PRP).
