应用 1,6-脱水-β-D-葡萄糖（左旋葡聚糖）可作为前体用于合成： 1,6-脱水-2,4-二脱氧-β-D-甘油六吡喃糖-3-酮糖。准直线形(Quasi-linear)聚葡萄糖(PGlc)，阳离子开环聚合反应。吡喃葡萄糖的多氮类似物 3-脱氧-3-氟吡喃半乳糖和乙酰化4-脱氧-4-氟吡喃半乳糖。 1,6-Anhydrohexopyranoses have proven to be valuable synthons for the preparation of biologically important and structurally diverse products such as rifamycin S, indanomycin, thromboxane B2, (+)-biotin, tetrodotoxin, quinone, macrolide antibiotics and modified sugars.
