Its fluorescent property can be tuned by adjusting the pH of the solution. It can be photoexcited for internal twisting that forms intermolecular charge transfer state. trans-4-[4-(dimethylamino)-styryl]-1-methylpyridinium iodide (DASPI) is a hemicyanine dye. Application： DASP can be used to characterize the fluorescence of zeolite crystals which can further be used in the development of photofunctional materials.
