t-Boc-N-Amido-PEG9-propargyl is a PEG derivative containing a propargyl group and Boc-protected amine group. The hydrophilic PEG spacer increases the water solubility of a compound in aqueous media. Propargyl can be reacted with azide-bearing compounds or biomolecules via copper catalyzed azide-alkyne Click Chemistry to yield a stable triazole linkage. The Boc group can be deprotected under mild acidic conditions to form a free amine.
