Application: Transferrin human has been used: to incubate human proximal tubule cells (HKC) - 8 cells along with IgG for the examination of albumin specificity as a supplement in serum-containing/devoid medium for human thyroid cell culture as a target glycoprotein to develop an in-gel hydrazinolysis method

生化机理

转铁蛋白介导铁从血浆向细胞的运输。与铁结合的转铁蛋白具有三种形式：单铁A/B转铁蛋白和二铁转铁蛋白。转铁蛋白可与特定的细胞表面受体结合，通过内吞作用内化。进入细胞后，铁被释放到细胞中，无铁转铁蛋白（也称为脱铁转铁蛋白）则通过胞吐作用释放到细胞外，而不会被降解。目前确知转铁蛋白可将铁以生理学安全有效的形式递送至细胞。
