味酸并有灼烧感。其蒸气显黄绿色，并带辛辣味，对光及热稳定，能溶于水、醇、丙酮和乙酸。易吸收干燥氟化氢、氯化氢、溴化氢和碘化氢生成卤化硒。二氧化硒是一种强氧化剂，可被SO2、H2、NH3、CO、C还原成单质硒。制造其他硒化合物，生物碱检定，氧化剂。与氨反应生成氮和硒，在醇溶液中则生成亚硒酸乙基铵[NH 4 (C 2 H 5 )SeO 3 ],与肼生成氮和黑色无定形硒，与盐酸羟胺生成氮和红棕色无定形硒，与硝酸生成亚硒酸。 Usually used as reactant involved in Intramolecular oxidative cyclization,Oxidative amidation of aldehydes,Synthesis of FeSe nanostructures via electrochemical deposition,Regioselective allylic oxidation, Synthesis of CdSe quantum dots,Selenium nanoparticle sol-gel compound preparation and studies of antioxidant activity.
