本品为部分取代2-羟丙基醚纤维素，是非离子型纤维素醚，为碱化纤维素与环氧丙烷反应制得;按干燥品计，含羟丙氧基(一0CH2CHOHCH3)应为53.4%~80.5%。性状为白色或类白色的无定形或结晶性粉末。在水或丙二醇中极易溶解，在甲醇或乙醇中易溶，在丙酮或三氯甲烷中几乎不溶。用途羟丙纤维素广泛用于口服和局部用制剂。在口服制剂中，羟丙纤维索主要用于片剂的粘合剂、薄膜包衣材料和缓释制剂骨架材料。低黏度规格羟丙纤维素可作为湿法或干法制粒的粘合剂，或直接压片工艺的干粘合剂，用量一般为2-6%;还可以作为乙醇体系或水体系的包衣粉中的成膜性材料。高黏度规格的羟丙纤维素可用作缓控释制剂骨架材料，用量一般为15~35%。在局部用制剂中，羟丙纤维素可在透皮贴剂或眼科制剂中使用。在食品和化妆品中，可作为乳化剂和稳定剂使用。项目号
