生化机理

IGF-binding proteins prolong the half-life of the IGFs and have been shown to either inhibit or stimulate the growth promoting effects of the IGFs on cell culture. They alter the interaction of IGFs with their cell surface receptors.

生物活性

1、Measured by its ability to inhibit the biological activity of IGF-I on MCF‑7 human breast cancer cells. The ED50 for this effect is 5.71 ng/mL in the presence of 2 ng/mL Recombinant Human IGF-1(rp147252). 2、Measured by its binding ability in a functional ELISA. Immobilized Recombinant Human IGFBP-6 Protein (rp147288) at 1 μg/mL can bind Human IGF-1 Protein, the ED50 for this effect is 131.2 ng/mL.
