Purity >90% SDS-PAGE. Function Binds tightly to hydroxyapatite. Appears to form an integral part of the mineralized matrix. Probably important to cell-matrix interaction. Acts as a cytokine involved in enhancing production of interferon-gamma and interleukin-12 and reducing production of interleukin-10 and is essential in the pathway that leads to type I immunity. Post-translational Extensively phosphorylated on clustered serine residues. N- and O-glycosylated. Phosphorylation sites are present in the extracelllular medium.

生物活性

1、Measured by the ability of the immobilized protein to support the adhesion of HEK293 human embryonic kidney cells.Recombinant Human Osteopontin/OPN coated plate, cell adhesion is enhanced in a dose-dependent manner after 1 hour incubation at 37 °C. The ED₅₀ for this effect is 0.2-0.8 µg/mL. 2、Measured by its binding ability in a functional ELISA. When Recombinant Human Osteopontin (rp149597) is immobilized at 4 µg/mL, biotinylated Recombinant Human Mesothelin (rp176301) binds with an ED50 of 40.2 ng/mL.
