TF plays a role in normal hemostasis by initiating the cell-surface assembly and propagation of the coagulation protease cascade.

Measured by its ability to activate Coagulation Factor VII in cleaving a fluorogenic peptide substrate Boc-VPR-AMC. The AC50 is <24.0 μg/mL.
