Purity >95% SDS-PAGE. Function Ligand for the T-cell-specific cell surface receptor ICOS. Acts as a costimulatory signal for T-cell proliferation and cytokine secretion; induces also B-cell proliferation and differentiation into plasma cells. Could play an important role in mediating local tissue responses to inflammatory conditions, as well as in modulating the secondary immune response by co-stimulating memory T-cell function.

生物活性

Measured by its ability to co-stimulate IL-4 secretion by D10.G4.1 mouse helper T cells in the presence of anti-CD3. The ED50 for this effect is 0.3-1.5 μg/mL.
