生化机理

受体酪氨酸激酶能与邻近细胞上的 GPI-anchored ephrin-A 家族配体杂乱地结合，从而向邻近细胞发出依赖接触的双向信号。受体下游的信号传导途径称为正向信号传导，而ephrin配体下游的信号传导途径称为逆向信号传导。在 GPI-anchored ephrin-A 配体中，EFNA5 最有可能是 EPHA5 的认知/功能配体。它在发育过程中发挥轴突导向分子的作用，并可能参与视网膜、内视网膜-海马和海马通路的发育。它还与 EFNA5 一起，通过调节突触发生，在成人大脑的突触可塑性中发挥作用。除了在神经系统中的功能外，EPHA5 还与 EFNA5 相互作用，介导胰岛细胞之间的交流，以调节葡萄糖刺激的胰岛素分泌（相似）。

生物活性

Measured by its binding ability in a functional ELISA. Immobilized Recombinant Human EphA5 at 2 µg/mL (100 µL/well) can bind recombinant mouse Ephrin-A2 Fc Chimera with a linear range of 0.16-10 ng/mL.
