血红素加氧酶是一种催化血红素降解的酶，在NADPH、细胞色素P-450还原酶和分子氧存在下，使铁卟啉 IXa 氧化产生胆绿素 IXa。HO-1之间及 HO-2之间均有很大的同源性。HO-1可以被诱导生成，HO-2尚未发现有诱导反应。 用途 血红素转化为胆绿素。 推荐使用条件 储存缓冲液：20mmol/L Tris-HCl (pH8.0), 20mmol/L NaCl, 50%(v/v)甘油。

Catalyzes the oxidative cleavage of heme at the alpha-methene bridge carbon, released as carbon monoxide (CO), to generate biliverdin IXalpha, while releasing the central heme iron chelate as ferrous iron. Affords protection against programmed cell death and this cytoprotective effect relies on its ability to catabolize free heme and prevent it from sensitizing cells to undergo apoptosis. Heme oxygenase 1 soluble form.
